I’ve mentioned before that 2020 would bring some exciting changes for SO ATELIER among these are:
- More photo shoots on location
- Host in-studio headshot parties
- Offer subscription based photography services
- More collaborative work
- Work with artists, makers, crafters.
It has been a while since I posted a photo shoot that was not done in the studio, and I am so excited to share these! These images are part of a big project to revamp Austin Titus‘ jewelry brand, she is a Richmond based jewelry designer whose work I’ve admired for a while. These collection of images come from 2 separate photo shoots, there are more parts to this project and I am so excited to see it will all come together. Austin wanted to capture the crafting process behind her work, hence our behind the scenes shoot in her Church Hill studio. When planning the modeling shoot it became clear that she wanted something intimate and low key not necessarily in a studio setting, so I snapped these images right in front of a window of her home. This project is making me fall in love with on location low key photography. Special thanks to Sydney, the muse behind Chic Stripes for modeling her styled outfits with Austin’s deigns.
